Authentic Rasta Pasta - No meat, 100% Vegan
Jamaican Pesto Linguine with Ackee - Rasta Pasta!
The term Rasta Pasta is used without knowing the meaning. Let me clear up a few things... Rasta Pasta cannot include meat Rasta Pasta cannot include creamy sauce unless it is coconut based. Rasta Pasta must be loaded with colorful veggies.
Ingredients:
Ackee
Bell Pepper (Red, Yellow and Green)
Carrots
Garlic
Linguine
Nerpy's One Drop Green Seasoning(Pesto)
Oaks Coconut Oil
Onion
Parsely (fresh is always best but we used dry this time)
Sea Salt
Tomatoes
Tomato paste
Directions: Cook the pasta Saute the onion and garlic Add the tomatoes Add the carrots Add tomato paste cook in to release the flavors add a few spoons of the pasta water to cook the veggies Add all three bell peppers Saute for about 3 minutes to get to the crunchy level you desire Add the Ackee. Pasta(Linguine) should be ready. For me I like it al dente. Strain and add to veggies.
Drizzle with Nerpy's green seasoning
